well, i was invited to come meet a private breeder and take pictures of his collection, but he had a lot more than i expected! he had normal nonvenemous snakes like corn snakes, king snakes, rat snakes, pythons and boas, along with venemous snakes like different species of copperheads, cobras, rattlesnakes, puff adders and vipers! i only got to edit about half of the pics, so there is still more to come!

A lot of snakes he has. I hope he has all kinds of anti-venom if he handles those venomous snakes regularly with those hairy bare hands of his. Tongue

I like the albino cobra the best. It is gorgeous. Was the rat already dead before the feeding?

Thanks for sharing!
A good friend of his actually milks snakes for anti-venom, so im sure he is well stocked Smile and yes, the rat was already dead, he feeds mostly frozen rodents which need thawed out in warm water and are then fed when they reach room temp
Very cool Manda Smile I really like the cobra morphs, especially the lavenders. That may be on the menu after we get all the kids out of the house, lol...
Ouch! Fishbone, are you really planning to get venom snakes after the kids grow up?

I do not think I will ever try to touch one or even get close to one without a layer of thick glass in between. They make me chill even they are beautiful. Deadly beauties.

Besides, are you sure your wife will be ok with it? Tongue
Gosh, seems he takes big chances with the venomous ones. Some of those are very deadly if it bites you. But your pictures are beautiful. The second copperhead, where is he from? His color is more orangey than brown.
After one of our snakehunting trips to South Carolina, we had a batch of copperheads, and stopped at a reptile pet shop to sell them. My husband said the man was so careless with the copperheads as he put them into boxes, that he was going to get bit bad someday. About a two week later we heard he got nailed by a large rattlesnake, cause he was showing off for his friends and he ended up in the hospital.
