Does your dog have any allergies? If so, what are they allergic to?

I have a yellow Labrador that is allergic to corn. We've switched his dog food to ensure that it contains no corn. He started to get hives on his head and ended up losing patches of hair on top of his head. It was a very strange thing. After we cut out the corn, he has done much better and all of his hair has grown back! Smile
I think my little dog had allergies to her food, and from what I hear is corn in her food could have been the culpret.

I read the lables now if it has corn, I don't buy it. Also if it says on the ingredients list By Products I wont buy it. The best is if at the top of the list is Protein.
I don't know exactly what my dogs are allergic to, I can't afford the test. But I do know that when I switched to a food with no corn, wheat or by products their skin and health improved tremendously. My bully got what they call "bully bumps". They get bumps on the skin and the hair is raised where it looks like there's a tick on them, except it's all over their body. They scratch and chew nonstop. My american bulldog was gnawing at his paws so badly they were raw. After the food change they barely scratch anymore. Rachel Ray has a food calld 'Just 6', there are only 6 ingredients and you can pronounce each one. It is easy on the wallet and great for your dogs.
I am not sure about it, but I think my dog has got pollen allergies. Usually we walk him through our neighborhood only and no issues occur. Occasionally we send him with dog walking service people when we are busy with something. At least two or three times after the walk, he was terribly irritated with something in his body. He was trying to scratch away something. We asked dog walker where did he walk the dog. He walks quite some distance but importantly he walks a fair distance around a community garden. So I guessed that might have caused something as I have already heard about dogs pollen allergy issues. So I asked the walker never to go near the garden with the dog. And with no surprise, dog never showed any issue after that. Even a vet after hearing this symptoms suggested it might be pollen allergy issue.
