I just found this video.
A kitty cat eats a piece of watermelon.

Is it healthy for a cat to eat fruit? They are carnivore after all.
Really? I've seen vegetarian cat foods added to a cat's diet, although I know meat is needed. That is quite cute though. I'd love to give some to my cat, but she doesn't seem to want to eat anything other than the crappy cat food she's given. Poor thing.
I thought the veggie in cat food is nothing but filler. Correct me if I am wrong. Typical carnivore need protein and fat. Sugar in the fruit is totally useless for them. The video is cute to watch though. Smile

@ Mantis,
I don't think you should be sorry for your cat for not eating anything but the cat food. Unlike us, who can't stand eating the same stuff every day, most animals are creatures of habit when it comes to food. They are less likely to eat something new than we humans if they are offered the same food for a long period of time. Unless you offer some really tasty treats. Big Grin
my cat has a huge sweet tooth and LOVES anything sweet. he licks icing off of cupcakes and loves to eat fruit, including watermelon and cantaloup Smile
