Some of the PetSmart stores vendor with Bancroft Animal Hospital. They have experienced Vets and health care for animals at affordible prices. I take my current cat there, because they charge less and they treat her with kitty gloves. WinkWink

I must add that they are very attentive in all of there products and services on offer, I think a friendly face is something to brings me back to the store.

PetSmart has been the pet store we have used for the last couple of years and I find it quite pricey in comparison to other pet stores in our area. I like their variety but I find myself paying more and then seeing it on sale or cheaper somewhere else. We just recently got a PetCo and I find their prices are more reasonable.
I think that will be my store from now on...

I enjoy going to Petsmart! They are a name I trust!
The only issue I have had with them consists of their training program.
Recently, my dog, Zoey, and I joined a puppy training class that was held one a week for 8 weeks. The $128 was well spend in the first time attending. When we showed for class I had blisters on my hand from a walk in the park the day before. The trainer showed us a simple trick to help her not pull on her leash...the magic...A FRONT LEADING HARNESS! It seams so little but works so well. After that first week the class faded off. Nothing was really enlightening or rigorous. Towards the last few classes the "trainer" said we we should practice all the tricks (walking, dropping, sitting, laying, waiting) that we had learned before on our own. So Zoey and I along with 3 other human/dog companions wondered around the store for an hour practicing while the instructor chatted with some friends in blue shirts. The final class was a mere 15 minutes long. He took a 5 second picture with a graduation cap on Zoey's head and we waited the rest of the time for him to print it which ended in him saying that the printer was out of ink so we would not get the pictures.

Another 5 here for me because PetSmart is very convenient for me when it comes to location. I haven't had to order online yet because they always have what I need, but it's good to know the option is there and I'm sure they'd have good customer service online, too.

The biggest reason I like shopping at PetSmart is because we need to use grain-free cat food and they have a good variety of choices... I think that's important. I can always get the wet food and grain-free treats that we need there. Now one thing they don't have is the dry food the vet recommended, but I can get that easily at another store that's close to here, so it's not been a problem.

I like to look at the kitties they always have there for adoption but at the same time, it's very hard on me to see those little faces looking at me expectantly. :-)

I have never bought from their website, only from stores in person. They have a very wide variety of products. And the staff does not seem much for pressuring people into buying things, which is good. Their staff does not seem to be trained at all in pet care though. Sometimes you meet those who are knowledgeable, and some who are not. It seems to be all from personal experience though, nothing from training at the store. They do have good prices and sales though, provided you are a member of their "PetPerks" club I believe it is called. I find it to be a pretty good store to go into for certain products, provided you know what you need and why you need it, and aren't actually looking for any useful guidance on selecting a product.

4 out of 5

I have bought my fish supplies from their web site, including a 40 gallon SeaClear acrylic fish tank. I couldn't find anywhere that would ship glass tank, and no local shop sells anything bigger than a 20 gallon. So I bought the SeaClear acrylic tank from them. It came with a broken hood just like many reviews on their site had complained. Their customer service is good though. They told me they would send me another hood for my tank. Even they have made a mistake trying to send me another 40 gallon SeaClear tank without extra charge. I noticed it on the shipping list on their web site. After it was corrected because I told them so (I am not greedy), they let me to pick any light fixture/hood of my choice for my tank on their web site. It went well. I got the new light fixture/hood I picked.

They have a good selection of supplies for all pets. Price might not be the cheapest, and you have to pay sales tax on the top of shipping if you buy from their web site.
