Hello from Georgia! - SereneScales - 12-17-2012

Hey everyone, I came across this wonderful site and decided to stick around! I absolutely love reptiles, especially boas and all their locales! Feel free to ask me anything.
I've kept reptiles since I was very young, probably 4 or 5. I started out with a pacman frog and it spread like wildfire after. Now I keep snakes mostly. I do have a pixie frog and two aquatic turtles. Along with some boas, a ball python. I used to have a breeding group of about 5 crested gecko but a tragic freak accident took those from me. I'm always willing to make friends and learn new things, and teach people about reptiles along the way!

Welcome Serena as I am relatively new here myself.

I have to ask, what is a pacman frog? And where do you keep the boas & ball python? Do you allow them to have access to your house & let them cruise around? May I also ask how did you get interested in reptiles ? I'm also sorry you lost your geckos....

Have fun here Serena!

A pacman frog is one of these http://www.heathwood.org/simpson/quicklinks/animalsoftherainforest/pacman11.jpg

And no, my snakes do not roam the house. They are kept in climate controlled enclosures. I got started when I was very young, my late grandmother got me the little pacman frog and he wasn't but about the size of the quarter. I had him up until I was about 15, he was about the size of a dinner plate when he passed!

Welcome! Glad to have a new herper around! And I mean no offense to SweetBeast, because it happens all the time, (really, everyone asks it,) but do you find it odd whenever someone asks you if your snakes cruise the house? I get that question more than I can count, lol...
