Share Your Dog Stories Here - spence88 - 04-06-2016

Hey guys, I don't see any thread like this around so I made one. Please share your dog stories here, like how you met your dog, or how you trained him, or when he learned his first trick, anything related to you and your dog!

I'll start by sharing how I met my dog.

I met mine at a pet store. He's still a two-month old puppy at that time. There were many other dogs on that store, but this certain puppy is the only one that greeted us from its cage. What I mean by greet is that he sat up and barked at us once or twice and kept wagging his tail. It's like he's asking us to get him. He got our attention all right. So we got him out of his cage and took a look at him. We already liked him, but we said we should look around other stores a bit more. But in only a few minutes, we came back. We've always wanted a Golden Retriever and my mom just couldn't resist this puppy calling us out. Now, he's turning three years old and we absolutely love him. Looking back when we first saw him, it seems like he's meant to be our dog and the dog that is right for us.

And that's it for me. Your turn! Smile

Jedi is our very first dog. She was the one who taught us the proper caring for dogs. When the first time she got sick, we almost surrendered until my husband and I agreed to bring her to a vet clinic. For a detailed story of Jedi, here is the link to my blog. I hope this is not a violation to the rules.

I was only able to claim Clio after waiting for three weeks for her to turn 2 months old. Her photo was on a local buy and sell online shop and seeing her was a snap and at that moment, I knew I have to have her. I bought her all the dog essentials I can think of including a travelling crate, pet bed, her own dish and some chew toys. The crate was only used once and went into storage. The pet bed was used more as a chew toy instead of a bed (she ripped it to pieces!). The dish, she already outgrew and the chew toys still remain here and still loves playing with them. She was tri-colored when I got her but now she's mostly white-colored with fading black ears.

Our second dog is Epoy, a pekingese who looked epileptic. He is a cuddly dog who is very affectionate. And unlike Jedi who is kind of serious, Epoy is playful with toys. He loved his rubber bone which he plays with and enjoys whenever I would grab it. Since he is a lap dog, it is easy to carry him so we usually bring him along when we go on vacations.

Here is a more detailed story of Epoy - http://petizone.blogspot.com/2011/05/bulilit-dog-with-many-names.html
