Florida's Stinging & Venomous Insects - 4sweed - 02-12-2013

When I was living in Florida, I always wanted to be doing things outside in the yard and sometimes took walks in the yard. It is important to watch where you walk and when picking things up, and in weeding your garden or flower bed. There are snakes to avoid, but there are also many insects that can cause pain or terrible sores, or in some cases of allergic reactions, death.
It is best to avoid these insects and encourage your children to look where their going and in picking up toys in the yard.
The list includes: scorpions and spiders (Black Widow), stinging caterpillars (found on palm tree leaves), and fire ants and the red velvet ant, hornets and wasps, and bees.
I have provided a link that givens lots of information about these insects.
