Regular vet visit - Corzhens - 05-22-2016

We have 2 vets. One is a male vet who makes house calls. Another is a female vet who gave us Barbie the pekingese who is my favorite dog. It has been my habit to bring Barbie to Dr. Mae once a month not really for the checkup but just for a visit. I always bring something for the good vet in appreciation of her gesture in giving Barbie to me 3 years ago. The other vet said that it is good that I am bringing Barbie to the vet regularly. At least she gets an informal checkup. Besides, the vet can give me advice on dog caring.

How frequent do you visit the vet?

My dog and I go in for a check up usually every 2-3 months. She gets her nails trimmed and her shots in the same trip.

There are five vets in the city but I only go to one, which is the closest on the way home. The clinic also doubles as a grooming shop and it's fun to be there because sometimes when I bring my dog over, there will be other dogs there waiting for a check up or to be groomed. Pets are usually a good conversation starter too. Shih Tzus and Chowchows are the most common dogs there. I'll be bringing her over again soon for her shots.
