Nutritious snack for dogs - Corzhens - 05-27-2016

People are surprised to learn that our dogs are given fried sweet potato for their afternoon snack. The vet had recommended it when I asked because our dogs seemed to like fried sweet potato. Aside from the nutrients, sweet potato is cheap and easy to cook.

Yes, it is indeed nutritious for dogs as it has vitamin B6, C and Beta Carotene. I would give it boiled instead of fried though. I share my chilled apple slices to my dog. It's good for their digestion because it's made up of fiber and water that hydrates their bodies. Watermelon is also a good choice for avoiding UTI.

Yes sweet potatoes are really nutritious for dogs because they contain vitamins B6, C and Beta Carotene. I would prefer giving boiled sweet potatoes than fried though. Also, I share chilled apple slices or slivers of watermelon if there are any available. They provide fiber that's good for digestion and water that help rehydrate them. Even simple bread slices or pandesal is good for them also.
