Does anyone have a Boston Terrier? - apickett80 - 09-12-2013

My husband and I have a 9 month old Boston Terrier named Brogan. He is a sweetie pie for the most part, but he is also pretty hyper and stubborn. He's very intelligent but we just have not had any success with training him. He knows the word "No" but he doesn't listen when he is doing something wrong. Dodgy

We started trying to train him from the start and he never really cared to learn anything other than potty breaking. I'm happy to say that he is completely potty broke and has been for months but as far as listening when we tell him "No"..that's another story.

I researched the breed way before we decided to get him and I saw where they can be stubborn but I had absolutely no idea he would be this stubborn..lol. I wouldn't trade him for anything in the world of course but man oh man he can be a tough little bugger. I give him tons of exercise daily and he interacts with other animals all the time. He loves my moms Dachshund and they play really good together. He is not aggressive at all either which is a good thing.

So, are there any Boston owners on here that might give me some tips and tricks to training him on a few basic commands? I have watched youtube videos and they make it look easy but I try the techniques with Brogan and he doesn't respond to them at all. I've thought about obedience school as well. Gen068 Any pointers?
