I have never seen a turtle opening mouth like that lol.I only know a saying about turtle. When someone call u a turtle, you won't be happy. What they want to say is that u are craven.Expecially they say "sink-head" turtle to a man,who is considered to be a coward. No one like be called like that, but for the real turtles, many people like them. And we know, turtles can live for long. Some scientists are curious about the reason why they can live long.Maybe there is someone doing reaserch on turtles for finding the reason of long life turtles lol.

Actually many turtles are carnivore. If you have kept a turtle you would know, they bite! Make sure you do not give them your finger! Although they have no tooth, the bite force is quite strong. Yep, I got bit a few times. Bawling

I have never had a turtle like the one in this video. It looks much more scary than the one I had.

Aww... he's cute. (yes, I am weird...) I got bit by a snapping turtle when I was a kid. He was a bit bigger than that one. It was pretty far from pleseant, lol.

They don't bite because they are angry lol. I think they believe you are trying to give them a treat. ex: a piece of sausage like meat (your finger really). :p

Wow alligator snapping turtles sure are freaky deaky looking beasts. We don't have this breed of turtle here in NZ.I have seen a doco on tele where university students and their professor are in the swamps of Louisiana I think it was researching the health of the alligator snapping turtle.Wow did they find some grand daddy turtles estimated to be something like 150-200yrs old.from the size of their jaw you sure as heck would'nt want them closing down on your hand let alone fingers.Do people keep them as pets ?

I know some turtles are well known for "never let go" once it bit you. You don't want to give it a finger. :p

Turtles can live for hundreds of years easily. If I am correct, some species can also grow bigger and bigger as they get older.

Alligator snapping turtle does have a scary looking mouth. One of the most scary looking mouth I have ever seen.
