Buying Pet Food Online, ever done that ?? - Happyflowerlady - 05-02-2014

I have seen several places that sell pet food online, but unless you buy a lot of it (or it is really expensive pet food), there are always high shipping costs, and the selection is usually not that great either.
Most of the places that I have checked out have been for one of the more expensive brands of dog food, and I don't feed that to my dog anyway.
Since I am almost 70 years old now, it has also gotten a lot harder for me to carry in the dog food when I buy the dog food at the store, and the large economy size is simply impossible. I struggle with the little 20 lb bags anymore.

So, I started looking for affordable online dog food, and found it in my already favorite shopping place ----- AMAZON ! !
Yes, Amazon carries all kinds of dog food, the prices are cheaper than my feed store, or the grocery store, I don't have to get a 50lb bag like at Sam's Club, and best of all, Amazon doesn't charge shipping or tax, and delivers it to my front door in two days.

I now have an Amazon Prime account, I can get free 2-day shipping on almost everything I order, and not have to pack it home and unload it myself.
If you are thinking of buying your dog food online, I recommend checking this out.

This is not always true. On the contrary, some sites offer attractive discounts, coupon codes and FREE shipping that makes purchasing economical and easy. I have been purchasing dog food online from stores like http://www.petsworld.in, http://www.dogspot.in, http://www.chewy.com etc and I am completely satisfied with the products and prices they offer.

That is great that you can let people know about these other weebsites to purchase pet food online ! I am sure that some of the other forum members will know of vn mor places where they like to buy their pet food, as well. The more of them that we have listed on here, the better chance that other posters will also find a place online that is perfect for them to buy their dog food, too. I use Amazon because I have the Prime account, and I can buy small quantities of food at a time; so for me , it is the right place, but not ncessarily the right one for other people.
I had never really considered that I could buy peet food online until recently. I was finding that i can save money on so many of the thiings that I buy, with ordring from Amazon; so one day, I just lookeed to see if dog food was cheaper, too...... and it was ! !

There are several good sites for buying dogfood that are affordable. Here are two. I thought I had another one, but I can't find it now. I have also seen good prices on specific dogfood sites.

Another great place to get pet items online is called Jefferspets.com . Jeffers does not sell dog food, but they do sell all kinds of dog/cat treats and toys; and they also have worming medicine, flea repellant and soaps, and other kinds of medicines for your pets. They carry a great line of shampoos, as well as color-specific shampoos that are made to enhance the natural color of your dog's coat as they clean and shine the hair.
They also have items for livestock, as well as birds; so you can find supplies for just about any animal or pet that you have. You can either order online, or ask for a catalog to be mailed out to you; or both, if you prefer.
Jeffers has a great selection, and their prices will be a lot less than you would pay for the same item at a pet supply store. I used to get all my dog collars, other supplies from there; as well as everything that I needed for my horses.
