Show off your reptile pet(s) here! - Thor - 02-21-2012 Do you have some good photos and/or videos of your reptile friend(s)? Show them here ! You can use the following site to host your photos http://imageshack.us RE: Show off your pet(s) here! - Fishbone - 04-25-2012 Thought I would share a pic of a little 2011 Jungle carpet python I took last night while cleaning. This is Saffron. She is really starting to yellow up! I love watching these guys colour up as they grow. I think she is going to be stunning RE: Show off your pet(s) here! - Thor - 04-25-2012 Nice photo. This snake is beautiful too. How many snakes do you have? P.S. I prefer your wife doing the hand modeling. :p Not to mention what if the snake get itch from contacting with your body hair? Can't even scratch, no hand. And I agree, her hands look better in the close ups... She does well with them. When we met, she had never held a snake. Now, if I get a nippy one in, she will hold it until it stops. It's actually kinda cute (Yes, I know. We're weird... ) Just thought I would post a picture of my large male beardie. I LOVE this photo. The expression is priceless. He was clearly over his photo session! RE: Show off your reptile pet(s) here! - amanda509 - 05-25-2012 this is linus (a.k.a. linusaurus rex) he is my top stud jackson's that i got from fl chams. he's about a year old and very laid back RE: Show off your reptile pet(s) here! - Ram - 05-25-2012 @ amanda509, OMG! Is that real? I have never seen a lizard species like that. Very cool looking. What is this species called? RE: Show off your reptile pet(s) here! - Fishbone - 05-26-2012 Hi Amanda! Glad you decided to join us. We need a few more reptile keepers here Ram, that's a Jackson's chameleon. I'll let her hopefully talk about them a bit more when she has time. He is beautiful! RE: Show off your reptile pet(s) here! - amanda509 - 05-26-2012 (05-26-2012, 02:38 AM)Fishbone Wrote: It's a new smaller forum, aimed at all pets, and we need a good cham keeper What other babies do you have? well, i just got rid of the last of my clutch of jackson's :/ i think i may have some photos on my home computer :p but i also have 2 females, and one of which is pregnant those pictures are on my home computer as well :p (im at school right now lol) i used to keep other chams but traded them for my jackson's. us chameleon keepers like to trade projects from time to time :p and as you already know ill be getting a pair of leos, and possibly some crested geckos in the next few weeks RE: Show off your reptile pet(s) here! - Fishbone - 05-28-2012 A few newer pics of a pair of 2011 carpet python intergrades I have. They are 75% jungle carpet, Morelia spilota cheynei, and 25% coastal carpet, Morelia spilota mcdowelli. The first is the female, Kali. She is a little feisty at times, but calming down nicely now. She is close to a shed cycle, so she is a little dull. If she gains a good amount of yellow she should be beautiful. This is her brother, Indra. He is a jaguar. And he is an angry little bugger. But he looks to be beautiful. And I very much like his eyes. RE: Show off your reptile pet(s) here! - Thor - 05-28-2012 That's really cool, man. This snake has a weird looking tongue. RE: Show off your reptile pet(s) here! - Fishbone - 05-28-2012 The tip was flickering quickly, and is kind of a blur. I need a better camera. I love the colour of the carpet python tongues and mouths. That purple tongue kills me. One more pic. This is two tiny little 18 day old geckos, that I think I am going to keep. RE: Show off your reptile pet(s) here! - Ram - 05-29-2012 What are those two leopard geckos doing facing each other like that? One had its eyes closed, waiting for a kiss? RE: Show off your reptile pet(s) here! - Fishbone - 05-29-2012 It's an old aquarium decoration, and they each have a side of it. The little one on the right was just blinking at the flash RE: Show off your reptile pet(s) here! - HK86 - 06-14-2012 I'm terribly afraid of snakes, but I have to admit some of their colours are very pretty And those geckos are adorable! RE: Show off your reptile pet(s) here! - Fishbone - 06-14-2012 I took a pic of my female bredls python, Morelia bredli, the other day and thought I would share. They are a very underrated snake for a pet, very calm and docile, and very easy to care for. I'm going to get some better pictures of both of my bredls outside after their next sheds. So this is Cinnamon... RE: Show off your reptile pet(s) here! - pugskjj - 07-10-2012 This is my Scar (the iguana) who has an amputated foot (front left) and a lame foot (front right) and Pancake (the dragon) Scar showing off his stub... RE: Show off your reptile pet(s) here! - Thor - 07-11-2012 Very cool reptile pets you have there, pugskjj. RE: Show off your reptile pet(s) here! - pugskjj - 07-12-2012 Thanks! They definitely keep me on my toes but I wouldn't trade them for the world! Scar teaches me so much about not letting handicaps get you down, and he is so friendly! RE: Show off your reptile pet(s) here! - ArmyOfDreams - 07-31-2012 Is scar young? He looks so little for an iguana! But that's awesome that he's fine even with a handicap. I'm learning that reptiles are such good sports about those types of things. And, I know I've posted pictures of Kaiah before on the forums, but not on this thread; besides, I absolutely love this shot of her. She's kind of in that awkward phase that is shedding, so her facial colors are rather dull here. But she's way too cute anyway, haha. RE: Show off your reptile pet(s) here! - Fishbone - 07-31-2012 I think beardies look so cute when sleeping. She looks good AOD! How long have you had het now? RE: Show off your reptile pet(s) here! - ArmyOfDreams - 07-31-2012 Thanks! I think I've had her for around three months. She's grown two inches since I got her and at last measure was pushing 13; I still don't have a UVB lamp (but the good news is that I am MUCH closer to getting one. As in, as soon as school books are out of the way, I will acquire one). And yes, beardies are so cute when they're sleeping! Haha I might be a bit biased on beardies though, I think they're really adorable no matter what they do. So adorable! She is like a sleeping baby with a big head. RE: Show off your reptile pet(s) here! - pugskjj - 07-31-2012 (07-31-2012, 01:59 PM)ArmyOfDreams Wrote: Is scar young? Scar's age is actually unknown, but that picture makes him look small. Including his tail he is around 5 feet, he was scrawny when I got him (the day this picture was taken) and he has not only fattened up nicely, but he is using his "bad" right foot more now! He has a lot of strength returning and can scamper quickly back to his room when he sneaks out and the dogs catch him |
