The FDA has a webpage that shows any food recall for pet food. It is a good website to have a link to, and be checking it every few days for new recalls. Even if you don't check that often, you should still check before you go to the store and buy any pet food, in case there are still some of the recalled food left on the shelves.
I think that more meats are being re-called lately for salmonella; both in human food as well as pet food. It is not just the cheap brands of pet food that have this problen, but also some of the more expensive brands.
Here is a list of the ones that have been recalled recently. I think that when we hear of a meat recall for our food, then we should also check to see about any new pet food recalls, since the same meat is often used in both products.
