A dog I dislike but who seems to love me! - evelynmcgregor - 07-18-2014 My daughter and grandson live with me along with their 25lb rat terrier. I dislike this dog. For some reason, he likes me,,, a lot! He wants in my bed, when I sit down he is right there looking at me with his big, brown eyes and his whole body waging at me. All he wants is for me to pay attention to him. Is it my imagination or do you think animals instinctively know who dislikes them and so they go out of their way to get your attention and approval?? RE: A dog I dislike but who seems to love me! - Ofnir - 07-18-2014 Awww, why do you dislike him, it sounds like he loves you very much! I think animals can pick up on auras and feelings, hence why wild animals can often smell fear and it makes them more aggressive. You should give the doggie some love though! RE: A dog I dislike but who seems to love me! - Happyflowerlady - 07-19-2014 I think that he sees how much love you lavish on your sweet Sadie, and he just wants to be loved like that, too. I am kind of the same way with Chipper and Tootsie. Chipper is my darling, and he is the one who gets hand fed and all the little tidbits and goodies, and Chipper is the one who sits on my lap. Tootsie sits on Bobby's lap and she adores him, too; but I can see in her eyes that she wants what Chipper has with me. I do my best to make sure that she gets little treats as well, so she is not neglected by any means; but she would like more. I think that Kipper is probably just wanting to be your favorite and feel all the love that he sees Sadie having. There is no way that two dogs can both be number one; and Kipper has two people that he belongs to , that can give him the kind of love he wants, and he can be the number one dog with them. RE: A dog I dislike but who seems to love me! - evelynmcgregor - 07-20-2014 I dislike Kipper because he barks so much. He barks at falling leaves, people walking by (even if he is in the house, the windows and door shut), dogs walking by, if someone rings the doorbell, if they are standing outside the door trying to talk, he barks incescently. He even barks at ME! If I open Treeca's door if it is closed he runs at me like he is going to bite me. He snaps at my feet sometimes. He grabs little Sadie's long hair and pulls it. He snaps at Caleb for no reason. He just gets on my nerves. Even the bark deterer we got is no longer helping. |
