Just another Pet Owner - freespirited1 - 07-31-2014
Hi everyone!
I am a new member, and I LOVE animals. My family has always said that I have a special way with them; and I guess I do. I can calm an angry cat or get a defiant dog to obey me with just a gentle touch. Needless to say, animals were always following me home from school, causing me great distress trying to find their owners
I have had a lot of different pets over the years, including cats, dogs, birds, hamsters, gerbils, assorted fish, a hedgehog, and even a pygmy goat!
Right now, I have a Cockatiel named Kirby, and he is full of personality. He introduces himself to everyone who enters the room, saying "I'm Kirby", and can whistle show tunes and the Andy Griffith show theme. He keeps my friends very entertained.
Anyway, I am really glad to be here and look forward to participating!

Sounds like you have had a lot of experience with all kinds of pets.
Would you mind to share some photos of your cockatiel? Or even better, a video of him talking lol.
