How long can snakes live?
I know different snake species must have different life span.

Do snakes typically live longer in captivity compare to their wild counterpart?

Well, if taken care of properly, yes. But that goes for any captive/domesticated animal. The operative phrase there is "taken care of properly" though.

Yeah, most animals in captivity live longer than being in the wild with proper care.
How many years do your snakes typically live?

Depends widely on the species. Allot of the giants can live over 30 years. Most of the other larger boas and pythons can easily live 20 years. Smaller to med sized colubrids can live 8 - 15 years. Generally the bigger the animal, the longer it's potential lifespan, though I wouldn't call this a definite rule, I am sure there are exceptions.
