The cost of food? - jester23 - 07-27-2012 For your particular pet, how much do you normally spend on food for your pet? Do you buy food in groups or as it is needed? What does the average cost look like to you? Do you feel it is appropriate? Please explain here! RE: The cost of food? - Ram - 07-28-2012 I have spent way more than necessary on food for my tropical fish. I went on buying spree when I first started because I heard it was necessary to have "a variety of food" in order to have a more balanced diet for the fish. Most people would just have one single type of fish food. As you can see from the list, I have bought too many. Some of them were ordered more than one package due to the discount and shipping fee concern. It's probably over $150 in total just to feed some tiny fish lol. On the bright side, they don't eat much. What I bought could last a very long time when stored properly in the fridge and freezer. Fish food - Stamp food: New Life Spectrum pellets. Omega One flakes. Hikari algae Wafer. Hikari micro wafer. Treats - Hikari frozen bloodworm. Hikari frozen krill. freeze dried spirulina brine shrimp. Hikari Freeze Dried Daphnia. Supplement - VitaChem. Garlic Guard. RE: The cost of food? - jester23 - 07-28-2012 How it's done with my dog is when we run out of food, we go to the store and buy more. The thing with my dog is that we can tell when he is hungry. I, personally don't measure the total cost of the dog food itself. Can you tell me, ram, how often do you need to buy the food for your fish? |
