A Sanctuary For Happy Blind Cats - ACSAPA - 07-29-2012

Hello, everyone

I read an article today about a lady that started a sanctuary for blind cats.
She takes care of over 90 blind cats. She started the shelter because she feels that blind cats are happy. They don't know that they're blind and they play and have fun like any other cat.

I thought you might enjoy reading the article so here's the link.

By the way, blind cats are also pretty cute. Heart

Yeah, blind cats can somehow feel their surroundings well enough to act normal as if they are not blind at all. Even without their eye sight, they can find objects right in front of them just fine, and they know their way around without pumping into things. It is common for people not be able to tell they are blind.

Not so long ago we have had another blind cat thread. There is a video in there showing a blind kitty playing with a toy.

How was the lady be able to correct over 90 blind cats? Why are they not wanted by other people? There is no reason not to adopt blind cats. They really don't act like disabled. They are just as cute as other cats with normal eye sight.

Well cats are known for their beautiful eyes so, aesthetically, blind cats are undesirable to some people. As I said in the other blind cat thread, I wouldn't mind adopting a blind cat because I think they're still lovable and full of life.
