update on the leopard gecko boys! feeding frenzy vid! - amanda509 - 09-07-2012

well, heres another update on the baby leopard geckos :3 sped is doing wonderful! he still jerks his head around sometimes, and will fall occassionaly, but not nearly as bad as before. he has also doubled in size! he's almost twice as big as spock because he is an eating machine! spock on the other hand has grown and is quite handsome, but he is a picky eater :/ the mealworms will sit in his dish for days, but he goes nuts for crickets!

heres sped!

Big eyes, cute legs. Not I am not talking about a chick. Big Grin

Is this the same little leopard gecko hatched from the egg not so long ago?
He looks so different already. How long does it take them to be full grown?

The video is great. I like how he was waving his tail when staring at a cricket near the end of the video. He eats a lot. I'd think the crickets' heads are really hard.

Thanks for sharing. Thumbsup

haha yep! these are the same babies in the two threads below born 8/13

it takes about 8 months for them to be old enough to breed, so they should be almost adult size by then. the tail shaking is actually a sign of excitement, their dad does the same thing when he hunts or is interested in breeding Smile

and yep..babies will eat you out of house and home! i just wish spock would eat more mealworms...i offer mealworms everyday, but only offer crickets about 3 days a week..and if he's not eating the mealies, he's not getting the same amount of food sped is :/
