Pet fashion! - Doglover0021 - 10-25-2012 Hey! What do you think of clothes for pets? At first I didn't like it but it turns out my dog loves it! I stay on top of the latest trends through http://www.pettogetto.com! A real cool site where you can share your own favorite items, i LOVE it! RE: Pet fashion! - TreeClimber - 10-25-2012 I am really not into clothes for pets. I can see something for warmth, but the tutus and dresses are bit too much for me. My dog hates clothing. She is a 10 lb. Jack Russell and gets cold easily. She needs to wear a jacket on her walks and it is quite an ordeal getting it on her. Once she is wearing it, then she runs around the house like a cartoon character. She is fine when we go for our walk, but then returns to her frenetic state once back in the house. My brother's Yorkie loves clothing. He wears little sweatshirts and t-shirts. Not my dog! LOL RE: Pet fashion! - pafjlh - 10-27-2012 I guess for some dressing their dog up in cute little costumes is a fun thing to do. For me though I have never wanted to do this, I don't see the purpose of it other then trying to make your dog into some fashion statement. For me why would I put clothes on my dog, well maybe to keep them warm, but I really don't think a dog enjoys this too much. RE: Pet fashion! - sandooch - 10-30-2012 I believe I've posted on here a few weeks ago that Gigi hated wearing clothing of any kind. Well, it seems she's done an about face. I bought her a Halloween sweater a couple weeks ago that she simple adores and wants to wear all the time now. But when it gets too hot, I take it off. If I happen to leave it within eyesight of her, she will sit and look at it on the coffee table or up on my desk and just whine and whine until I either put it back on her or hide it in a drawer. AND...I just discovered that she loves having her nails painted. I had them painted red once at the groomers and she looked adorable (they use nail polish that is safe on dogs), and they only charged me $10, which I thought was a steal because, who wants to deal with doing it yourself, right? Well, I bit the bullet and decided to try doing it myself to save a couple bucks. I bought the doggie-friendly polish and decided to paint her nails black, with a silver accent nail on each paw. I thought she would give me a big hassble about it, but she was patient and seemed to really enjoy when I was blowing on them to dry them faster. Here's the best part...it only required one coat and dried super fast. I was done with all four paws in less than two mintues. Here she is in her Halloween sweater and polished nails (forgive me if I posted these before...I'm having a lot of senior moments lately): |
