Cat dress up?
Do you dress up your cat?

I have been known to Dress Up mine, they have several funny hats and costumes, the cats don't care, and sometimes I think Pussington even loves the attention a little too much.

For example:

Anyone else got any dress up pictures to share?

RE: Dress Up?
My cat would murder me if I dressed her up. She's normally sweet and docile, and she never bites or scratches us. But she always gets extremely upset when we try to dress her. My sister used to wrap little scarves around her neck and such. She would try to hard to get them off, practically choking herself in the process! When she realized that it wouldn't come off, she hid behind the couch and refused to move. When we tried to get her out, she just glared at us, probably blaming us for putting her through the humiliation xD My sister also tried putting little hats and stuff on her, but it had the same effect. So, I don't think I'd ever be able to dress her up. I don't really want to, though. For me, that was more of a childhood thing, wanting to dress up my kitty Tongue

Your cats look adorable though! And if they don't mind it, I don't see anything wrong with it. For some pets, it's torture. But some don't seem to mind it, and I think it's cute on a pet who isn't constantly trying to get it off and/or glaring daggers at you, haha!

RE: Cat dress up?
I Agree, it's not like I am hurting the cats. It's all part of play time for us. Whenever I put something on them, they just sit and let me do it. Then afterwords they love the attention they get! Especially when we have people over. The thing I should add is in the photo with the tie, its not a clip on tie, the cat sat and let me tie a tie around her neck...yes, she is THAT docile.

If it annoyed my cats, or hurt them I would not do it at all, but since it seems to be something they are OK with I figure why not? It is so cute!

RE: Cat dress up?
Most cats don't like to be dressed up. It varies from cat to cat, since they all have their own little cat personality. xD

Lucky you have a cat actually let you to dress her up in peace.
I don't exactly know what is going through their little kitty heads, but I believe those cats who put all their trust in their owners will allow clothes to be put on them. They might think whatever you do is for their own good. With that point of view in mind, you can do anything (with no harm of course) with them. Yes, on the opposite side, some cats who absolutely hate to be dressed up might somehow believe you are harming them by putting the weird stuff on them.

Some cats might actually like the "weird" things and enjoy whatever you put on them. Sometimes they might be after whatever reward you might give to them as they have learned it's always the end result if they let you do whatever.

RE: Cat dress up?
Yeah my cats are quite likely the most docile cats in the world. I have often wondered what they think of me, and worry that they think I am a little bit crazy! I think my cats trust me completely, and are very dependent on me, and one of them I think either thinks I am a cat, or he is a human the way he carries on!

I think Pussington likes it because it usually means she is the center of attention for a while! She gets picked up, and talked too and really fussed over which she loves!
