I was watching one of those court shows. I can't remember which. On the show, the defendants were being accused of selling sick puppies that they knew in advance were sick. The people that were suing them had did their research too late and lost the puppy that they had bought from them within 24 hours. where would we find information about people like these before it is too late? We should have a place online for people to tell us about the experiences with any bad breeders where we would want to check before making any purchases. Like I said, they did their research too late, but they were able to show the judge all kinds of reviews of these horrible people, and they won their case.
Some pet sellers are in it merely for the profit motive and have no concern whatsoever for the hapless animals and would be owners despite prohibitive prices. Like a shrewd buyer, the best place to start is to engage the services of a vet to do an examination. I rarely encounter such problems because we source our pets from acquaintances. I think you are best placed to start a website for people to make reviews and comments with regard to their shopping experiences since you have identified the niche.
I think that it is important to find a local breeder, and actually visit the facility before purchasing a dog. Small hobby breeders will ussually keep their dogss right in the house and have them as pets, and these pups should be healthy and also socialized when you buy them.
Dogs that live in a kennel are more susceptable to illness, and also the puppies are not around humans except when someone is out there feeding them.
Even the adult kennel dogs are usually not that well ocialized, and they certainly have not had any kind of house training, which should also be started when the puppy is very young.
I believe that buying a dog from a hobby breeder who truly loves his dogs is the very best place to get a puppy.
You should be able to meet the parents, and also visit your puppy until it is old enough to take home with you. That way, you can also be sure that the puppy is not sick when you take him home.
Wow this is so sad. I bet the people who bought them thought it was their fault that the dogs died... That's super sad.
But in my opinion no one should buy dogs anyway. It's a filthy, disgusting market that's fed by people's need to have the prettiest dog. Those are the places that mix breeds so bad that we have no control over it anymore.
Don't buy dogs. Adopt them. So many pets without a home and there are people buying them and helping a market that shouldn't even exist anymore. I'm proud to say every pet I've ever owned wasn't bought, I either found them in the streets or adopted from a shelter.
