kitten story
If you've read any of my post on here, then you know I volunteer at an animal shelter. We had two kittens come in from a litter with a condition that causes them to walk unsteadily. The worse of the two cases can only hold his head up for a bit at a time, and sort of pecks at the ground. Their condition will last through an otherwise normal adulthood, although the one will most likely learn to hold his head up better, and they will adjust to their condition. I brought an adopter in to meet them. They are sweet and playful and of course she fell in love. We talked about how she could name them after famous drunken authors. Hemingway, and Fitzgerald....here's lookin' at you. Enjoy your new home.

RE: kitten story
That's a very sweet story! I'm glad to know they went to a loving home, and as for the drunken author names ... Big Grin Pretty cute.

What condition did the kittens have? A cat I adopted about 15 years ago was very wobbly, with poor coordination, and fell down a lot. As she got older, she got better but was never quite graceful. She would still randomly stumble or bump into things. I used to think she was a natural klutz until I read an article about a problem that cats can have, completely benign, that causes clumsiness from birth, but I can't remember what it's called.

It's always great to hear about successful adoption stories.

RE: kitten story
Kudos to you and the folks who adopted those little ones. I have to say I don't think I'm the kind of person who has that kind of patience for an animal with difficulties. It makes me that much more respectful of people who do.
