Hello Pet Keepers

I am obviously an animal lover, or I wouldn't be here. I have had many pets, including rabbits, guinea pigs, cage birds, dogs and a much loved cat.

Years ago I worked for the editor of a magazine on pedigree pets. This publication (no longer in print) covered rabbits, cavies (guinea pigs), cats, fancy pigeons and poultry. I attended many shows and events around the country where these were being judged.

Also I have been closely involved in an animal welfare charity, both as a volunteer and a fundraiser. I have helped to care for homeless pets, and visited several animal hospitals and wildlife rescue places.

I feel sure I shall enjoy being a part of this forum.

The name of my beloved cat is "Fred". He is a neutered tabby. I enjoy meeting other people's pets. I don't think I have a favorite species of pet, but cats and dogs are the easiest to makes friends with.
