Together to the very end

Just a follow up to this story, the dog in the picture did eventually pass away peacefully a couple of months ago. Here is an article with more information on him:

He was about the same age as what my coonhound would have been if she had lived longer. 20 years is a really long time for a dog, and I'm sure he lived a wonderful life.
