Cats don't really have a "period". A "period" is ovulation, either spontaneously or on a reproductive cycle. Ovulation in cats is induced by mating, each time they mate they release an egg, at least ideally that's how it happens. That its how a cat can have kittens from different fathers in one litter. They do go into "heat" when they are receptive, which honestly isn't all thai pleasant in my opinion, but there is no bleeding. All of this is in non-sprayed cats of course.
