I Haven't Seen Any Rat Owners On Here Yet

I wonder what makes the rats sit still in one place for so long. Aren't they inquisitive creatures? I know that cats and dogs are. If I take my dog to a new place, she would be checking out everything. There's no such thing as sitting still in one place until I am ready to leave.
