I prefer mutts to be honest. I have two mutts and one pedigree border collie. While I love my border collie he's only as awesome as my mutts from rescue that cost £400 less. Obviously I feel a whole lot better about rescuing the mutts than lining the pockets of a breeder too. I'm fairly sure I'll never get a puppy from a breeder again and that I'll always rescue from now on. The only way I'd get a puppy is if I come across a litter in rescue.
Undoubtedly mutts are healthier in general, it's genetic fact and I also think mutts tend to have more personality - they're more unique.
