Lonely goat won't eat until his friend is returned.
This is one of those heart-touching stories that just brings a tear to your eye when you hear it.
A little burro and a goat were kept together as stablemates for over 10 years. They lived a happy (but neglected) life until the rescue workers decided to take them away from their owner and send the pair to shelters.
The goat went to one shelter, and the burro was sent to a different one. The poor lonely little goat was so devastated without his lifetime friend, that he just laid in the corner, and would not touch his food, or even get up for the next 6 days. The rescue workers realized the goat would probably lie there and die alone, and one of the workers volunteered to go to the other shelter and bring back the burro.
The goat was delighted, and immediately started bouncing around and acting like a happy little goat should act.
The link has the story, as well as a great video of the sad goat, and how happy he was to see his long lost friend.

A bird doesn't sing because it has an answer, it sings because it has a song.
