A dog was rescued after being frozen to the ground
On Monday night (Jan 6, I believe), Dubois County (somewhere in Indiana) Sheriff's Department responded to an anonymous call of animal neglect. They found a dog was left outside by the owner and was frozen to the ground in the freezing temperature. It took half an hour for a deputy to free the dog with warm water. It was also noted that the dog weighted only half the weight of healthy dog of the same breed/size.
Now the sheriff's department had filed paper to seek charges against the dog owner. If success, it will come with a $5,000 fine and an one-year jail sentence.
What can I say? Don't leave your pets in the harsh weather...
