Does your cat like boxes?
I was talking to my sister the other day. She was telling me that she left a box out and her cat was in it minutes later sleeping. Her cat loves boxes. Does your cat, too?

I was thinking about this when I saw this blog post about a product called "Catty Stacks". Catty Stacks are boxes with holes in them that your cat can climb into. They are stackable and can hold up to 20 lbs.

It looks like you can stack them in a variety of ways. The boxes have holes on every side. I don't know how well they balance or if you need something to make them stick together more securely. In the photo, it looks like they have tunnels you can attach in between each box. Kind of looks like a HabiTrail for cats!

I think my sister's cat would have a ball in this. The whole problem is the dog would probably jump on it to get the cat out.

Here's a picture of Catty Stacks:

Haha, mine sure do. I'm pretty sure they just like enclosed spaces - being cosy and in close-quarters is what they enjoy most. I recently moved houses and as I'm sure you know, there were loads and loads of boxes.

At first we thought the cats would hate having to move, that the new environment would frighten them, but we'd never been so wrong. They both seemed to be enthralled by the amount of boxes; it was like a theme park for cats or something.

They really are funny animals, it baffles me as to how cardboard can really be that comfortable. Tongue

Mine certainly do. They love any enclosed spaces they can get into. When me and my family were moving house my youngest kitty went quite hyper and went charging around the new house in big circles, jumping into one box and then another. She was having such a grand time. We didn't have the heart to throw out every box once we were done. We kept about 3 of them just for her. We put some blankets in 2 of them, but she preferred the one without.

I have two kittens who absolutely love boxes. Usually one of them will get inside the box and the other will get on top so that they can slap at each other and play. They do, however, have a hard time deciding whose turn it is to be inside the box. If Binx beats Molly to it, she will just go pout or try to lure him out so she can steal the box.

What cat doesn't adore boxes? Oscar goes absolutely nuts anytime UPS sends me a package that comes in a box and after removing the components and any potential hazards to him I just let him go wild. He will spend forever just sniffing around and then he will rub the side of his face along the corner's of the box, telling me in his kitty dialect that "hey, this box is MINE. PAWS OFF". This is what I call the honeymoon period. After a few hours Oscar will seemingly disappear until we check the bottom of the box and note that he's fallen asleep at the bottom.

Mine does a lot! Haha. We've set up a small room (that we don't use) just for her, and we fill it with boxes we regularly clean. She hops on from one box to the next, and then she sleeps on them like as if she has a schedule! She sleeps on the largest box when she wants to nap, on the smaller one during the noon, on a slightly larger one during the evening, and on the smallest one in the morning.

I think if there were no boxes in the world my cats would be depressed.

I do a lot of shopping through Amazon and half the time I don't get the contents out before one of the cats is in the box. The baby (who is full grown) has to get in a box if she sees it, even if it's way to small for her. She'll stand in it, sit down as much as the box will let her, and go to sleep.

I can't imagine buying boxes for them to play in when Amazon delivers new ones just about every day. I will sometimes put smaller boxes inside bigger boxes, on their side, to give them more interest, but really all they want is a box to get in.

My cat goes crazy for boxes. When he's in a box and you put your hand in it, he'll grab it with his paws. I like to tap the side of the box when he's hiding in it, and he'll paw at the side of the box where I tapped. When we had taken in some abandoned kittens, he would play "fort" with the kittens in his little box. He'd hide in the box and protect it from the kittens when they got too close. He also likes to sleep in boxes. He would absolutely love those "Catty Stacks."

I don't know what it is about boxes and cats, but they certainly do love being in them, even when they can barely fit inside. I think that sacks are also great places for cats, and I have enjoyed watching the cats struggle to get their self into a sack and then get turned back around so that they can sit inside and peek out. I like the ideas of the cat stackable boxes, and I think it IS like a habitrail for cats ! !
If a persone has more than one cat, i bet they woulld have fun going from "room to room" and following each other around in there, too.
At $15 per box, it is spendy for me; and I have amazon boxes that work and they are free.
