Financial help for hard up pet owners
A friend sent this to me. I strongly urge everyone to try to arange time payments and seek help from family or do some fundraising before turning to these sources, since need is up and donations are down. But if you're desperate in this economy, some of these might help.

It was posted on Craig's List in the pet section. Cat and Dog oriented. Things from cancer to diabetes in pets.

More and more people are getting pet insurance probably for that reason. It can get expensive to treat pets with health problems.

RE: Financial help for hard up pet owners
What bothers me is when people with money problems get pets. I know someone that was always complaining about not having money. Next thing you know they are buying a dog (didn't even get go get a free one). The dog seems healthy which is good but I think it was a bad choice for them.

I agree. That's one thing I seriously discus (especially in this economy) with anyone applying to adopt any of my cats.
