Hedgehogs
I've been thinking about getting a hedgehog, I've started wanting one just recently. Is there anything I should know about hedgehogs before searching for one I want?

RE: Hedgehogs
I've never kept one myself, and the only live one I saw was crawling into a ball. Although I've heard they are easy to raise, since they aren't picky at all on what they eat.

RE: Hedgehogs
Thank you, it was very helpful, and that is good to know that I should not have 2 hedgehogs occupying the same space.Smile

RE: Hedgehogs
Territorial?

Too common on this planet. Many aquarium fish are also territorial.
As well as the humans. Smile

RE: Hedgehogs
I know I am bringing an old topic back up but I didn't want to duplicate Thumbsup

Does anyone else here have a hedgehog as a pet? I got one a few months ago, sort of a rescue; he was on Craigslist for $30 with the title of "Please take him or I have to take him to the shelter." I absolutely adore this little guy! He is of course named Sonic although it was Houdini by the previous owner but I already had a snake by that name so I had to change it.

He is so cute to watch waddling across my laptop when I let him visit me on the table. And he goes CRAZY for mealworms!

He is amazingly easy as far as maintenance goes; although you do have to clean the cage almost daily.
