How Old is your Gold Fish?

Goldfish have normal life span of decades. Yes, we are talking about 20~30 years. There were reports of goldfish lived up to 40~50 years.

This could only happen when the fish are cared for properly.

Sadly, most people don't have a clue on how to keep fish. Often these fish are kept in undersized, unfiltered fish bowls.

All fish require proper sized tank with good filter system.

Personally I do not own goldfish because they require very large tanks. I prefer to have small tropical fish so I can have a lot of them in one tank.
