I chose a lovebird because I heard they were absolutely darling. I think they're one of the cutest birds out there. Maybe I'm a bit biased, but I feel that the progress with my lovebird, I could not have made with any other bird. He went from a timid, scared, angry little devil to a bird who sits on my finger and rests on my shoulder. I chose a lovebird because they don't make a whole lot of noise, and when they do they aren't very loud compared to other birds. He requires little maintenance, just fresh food, water, toys and love. I can't imagine owning another bird now, since he is so integrated in my life. As we speak he is foraging for treats in the toy I made him. He's so smart.
So why did you choose the bird you own now? The intelligence, the looks? What else?
