Why did you choose the bird you chose?

I don't have any birds right now, but I have had parakeets and a cockatiel before. I love the pretty colors that parakeets come in, and they have such interesting personalities as well. When i was growing up, my family had parakeets, and we loved letting them all come out and play in the little play area that we had for them. Mostly they stayed right there and went up and down on the little perches and swings, but sometimes one of them would take off and just start flying around the house, and then we had to catch them and bring the birds back to their play area.
I have always thought it would be awesome to have a parrot that talks, but I know that it is complicated to take care of a parrot; so if I get [/font]another bird, it would probably be a parakeet, or maybe a cockatiel.
