Is it a bad idea to not remove the activated carbon?

I took the readings again and it's still at about 2ppm for ammonia and about 10ppm for nitrate.

I had to add more water. Enough had evaporated that the bio wheel stopped spinning. I dechlorinated and conditioned the water. I hope that is ok.
