I don't really understand why the handlers were so far away from the animals that it took them 3 full minutes to get to her and get control of the cheetahs. They are cute and adorable but I wouldn't get that close to one unless someone in charge was right there next to me, no matter how tame they said they were.

As for the attack, maybe they were just playing with the little girl and when mom went after the girl, maybe the cheetahs felt threatened? Who knows.
