Alaskan Friend
I am moving to Alaska next year. I already have a cat, but now that I'm going to be able to stop moving around all the time I was thinking about adopting a dog. The only problem is that in Fairbanks -40 is a thing that happens. I want a dog who will either be comfortable staying inside for longish periods of time, or preferably one who would be comfortable going for a walk, as long as I provided the booties and belly warmers that dogs use for dogsledding. Does anyone have any breed suggestions? I'm leaning towards getting a small dog like a pug, who would be comfortable inside most of the time, or a dog like a husky or an aussie, who may do better in the cold. Any suggestions?
