How much our dogs really love us !
I watched an amazing video today about a dog that thought his owner was drowning. The dog immediately ran and jumped into the water, landed right next to his owner, and then found his hand and "dragged" him to shore.
Although the owner was not really drowning, and he only wanted to show what his dog would do to save him, this little video really brings home the fact of just how much our dogs do love us, and are paying attention to what is going on with us.

You can see the dog is just contentedly laying by the side of the water and almost dozing off, and then his owner disappears under the water. The dog instantly has an alert look on his face, and goes into action to save his owner.
If this man had actually been drowning, the brave efforts of his dog would probably have truly saved his life.

That is an incredible and heartwarming story. <3 So amazing. Not shocking to me at all though.
I've been watching videos lately about service dogs that they are using now for emotional and psychological service now. It's amazing how they can pick up on the smallest things to help their owners.

No wonder we call them man's best friend!

Such an act of loyalty - I'm sure that my dog would do the same if only he was able to drag me!

It's funny though, my husband and I sometimes pretend to play dead - even on our living room floor, for instance. Our dog always comes running over and starts licking our faces to try and wake us up - so I think that shows their love and empathy too.

There really is a bond between humans and dogs that is a hard one to break!
