We currently have big and small dogs. We live in the city and having both sizes really made us think about considering the size when keeping pets. The big ones we have are American Pitbulls and man they can get really huge. As of now, we're thinking if we should still keep the big ones as they can take up a large amount of space. Like, right now, they occupy a whole floor in our town house and when they play around, imagine all of them running and swirling around, then you suddenly bump into them, which can get hurt as we're of small frames and get bruises sometimes, especially if their claws haven't trimmed yet. While the small ones we got are of mixed from Japanese Spitz and Mini Pincher. I think, personally, they're great to have. You can carry them wherever you go, have them on your lap without really worrying about their weight. I also like them as they're quirky and super playful, as I think they can carry their selves without the feeling of 'Oh Gosh, I'm heavy and I'm too lazy to even get up." Some times, I think our pits think this way and prefer to sleep more or I don't know, maybe they just have different personalities. But still I love both size. It's just that, it'll always come down to considering the space you can provide for their well-being which will eventually result to their happiness.
