Who grooms your dog ?
If you have a short-haired dog, this is kind of a non-question; but for those of us with a long silky-haired dog, then it is an important thing. Those dogs, Poodles, Schnauzers, Shih Tzu's , and many of the other long-haired dogs need constant bathing and grooming of some sort.
I usually do my own bathing and grooming, and just trim the coat shorter in the summer, but sometimes, I have taken a dog to the groomers to have them bathed and clipped.
One memorable one was a shaggy, unkempt Poodle that the owner could no longer keep, and she was matted from the base to the tops of her hair. It was a case where only clipping everything off and letting the coat re-grow was about the only option.

Once she was bathed and groomed, she looked like a totally different dog, and was an exceptionally beautiful little Poodle !

A dog will teach you unconditional love. If you can have that in your life, things won't be too bad.

RE: Who grooms your dog ?
We also have a poodle named Sid. Keeping him groomed is very difficult because his hair is very curly. I can't groom him on my own because I read a Facebook story once where in a pet owner cut his dog's hair. He then accidentally hit his dog in the eye, and his dog is now blind.
Anyway, I always make sure to bring Sid to the pet salon every month. I avail the pet package which includes bathing, grooming, teeth brushing, and nail trimming. I trust the groomers there, so I have no problem that Sid will get hurt. I think that it's important to bring long-haired dogs to groomers regularly instead of doing the grooming on your own.

RE: Who grooms your dog ?
We have been going to the same groomer for almost 8 years now. When we moved to a new state I was nervous about finding someone we could trust since we were leaving a wonderful groomer behind. We did some research and asked around and were pointed in the direction of the groomer we currently use.

We are so pleased with her. She is patient and very kind and our dogs love going there which is a sign to us that all is well. Our dogs always look beautiful. We are also blessed that she boards our dogs too. Going away is no longer a chore. We have so much confidence in her and like I said... the dogs are always happy !!!
