Does your cat ever get angry?
My younger Bengal, Phoebe has never gotten angry. However, my older Manx, Tabitha once kept growling when I picked her up, and she scratched me in the face.

Now, don't get me wrong, even though she had been abused by her previous owners who had her for eight years, she is a sweet animal. She has kidney disease, and at the time this happened, we had just started treatment.

After some research, I later found out that when an animal is sick, they may do things that they would otherwise never do. Now that we have Tabitha's health under control, she is more affectionate than ever before.

Batman, a four-year-old black Havana cat, is never angry and is quite content. However, our Max, a nine-year-old Tabby, gets mad if Batman is not the hallway carpet or is in a "tunnel" we made for them on our futon.

Max's ears are stretched back, his pupils dilate and he begins to go crazy. The other day I was just standing by watching him when him and Batman were about to fight and he turned around and bit my leg.

My fiancee did a funny thing by cooling him off by throwing some water on him. That calmed him down and he went back to his normal self. It was hilarious.

my Bengal cat has got a very good temperament. The Bengal is a hybrid breed of domestic cat. Bengals result from crossing a domestic feline with an Asian leopard cat (ALC).

I've got three cats. My oldest, Casper, is usually a calm, docile cat. But once in a while he will get angry at the other two for no reason. I've come into a room in the house and find that he's backed one of my other cats into the corner. He's got his ears held back in that don't-you-even-think-about-moving-from-that-spot position. It's scary to watch. I break it up all the time, but I wonder what it is that sets him off like that.

I used to have a cat that would get angry with me. I was young, so I thought it was pretty funny. She would only get mad when I held her. I remember I used to always want her to sleep in my bed at night and I thought I could train her by just holding her next to me. She would make this low pitched growling sound. I had her too tight so she wasn't able to scratch me. However, as soon as I let her go she would bolt as quick as she could and hide under something. When I was little I thought it was pretty humorous.

I had a female tortoise named Mariah for 15 years, adopted from Petsmart when she was a 3 month old kitten. Mariah had attitude the complete 15 years of her life. When she got upset or mad at something, she would leave surprises for me to find when I got home from work. I even started giving her rides in the pickup when I needed to fill up with gas or pick a few things up from the store. This cat had it totally made in the shade. But like I said, when she got mad and she did quite often for absolutely no reason, it was supriseville! She remained this way until a few summers ago when she passed away.

The one time that she totally out right attacked me was when I brought another cat into the condo. I got absolutely shredded on that one and never, ever made that mistake again! I still have scars!Hide

I two cats who are 13 and 14. The only time I ever saw them hiss and scratch was if one of the kids was too rough with them. Well, that was until we got our dog in May. Both of our cats absolutely hate the dog. The poor thing can't even walk through the house without the cats hissing and trying to scratch at them. I guess they thought they were the king and queen of the house all those years so I disrupted their quiet lives when I brought the dog in.

RE: Does your cat ever get angry?
My sister has an old cat that gets angry and hiss at people, when extended family come to visit at holidays and birthday celebrations, etc. We wondered why because when she had friends over, her cat stays calm and doesn't mind her friends visiting. Well, we found out that our brother teases her cat when no one is looking. So, we, as extended family, often all come at once to her house and so, her cat associates our brother's teasing with all the extended family visiting.

Now, my sister puts her cat in her bedroom when extended family visit for the holidays, etc. Her cat is happy to get away from all the extended family. And our brother doesn't have an opportunity to tease. Well, at least not our sister's cat.
