Hi to our pet's slaves. Really, we are slaves to our pets. We feed them, clean up after their throw ups and other messes, clean out litter boxes, walk them, clean cages, etc. We are their servants.
Currently, we have 4 cats.
The 3 two year old siblings (same mom and dad) are:
Snowball (Snowie) - female, pure white with sodalite blue eyes. A runt. Loves to be held. All legs and lungs, especially when in heat. Oi vey!
Casey - male, pure white with sodalite blue eyes. Loves to play.
Button - male, pure white with green eyes (just like their mother). Loves to be held.
Dot (Dotsie) - female, almost 11 years old, pure black with yellow eyes. Obviously not related to the others. Last August, she had emergency surgery for pyometria (puss filled uterus). She was within "inches" of dying and we didn't know it. Now she's a tub of lard ... fat kitty. At least she can't jump up onto the counters anymore!
Just two months before we got the white cats (August 2010), we had to put to sleep my husband's dog of 16.5 years. He was healthy other than having "doggy alzheimers" for a lack of better words. He just wasn't "here" anymore. Poor Merlyn.
Both my husband and I have had a myriad of dogs in our respective homes growing up. I've also raised rats for both pets and feeders and have had fish tanks and American toads.
I would share photos, but they are on the IPad ... the IPad hubby dropped a few weeks ago and now the outer screen, which is the touch mechanism (the glass plate screen is beneath that), is shattered. We're afraid to do anything with it. And it will cost a couple of hundred dollars to get it replaced.
I knew I should have been transferring photos and videos to my computer, but noooooooooooooooooooooooooo everything would be fine.
Welcome, cat person! I have a magnet on the fridge that says, "It's the cat's house; I'm just here to open the cans." That sums it up. Current count is, four of mine, three fosters, two I'm sitting, and one mother with kittens that I just found the missing owner of. Uf Da! (That's Norse for "oi vey").
