What is on the cat's mind?

Can you tell what a cat's mood is? Or what is on the cat's mind?

If the cat is happy, bored, sad, scared, or angry, or just want your attention, can you tell by just the look of it?
Is there some kind of body language or other signs to help you to understand the cats?

Cats are easy to understand. You can always tell the cat's mood by it's body movements and the way it meows. If the tail is down as they are walking they are being cautious. If it's up, it means they're not worried about anything and want to have some fun. If his or her ears are perky, the pupils dilated and tail wiggling, they are excited.

Yes, it's often very easy to know what's on a cat's mind or how it's feeling. My first cat was incredible - it's hard to describe the connection we had. It was like telepathy or something. It was very eerie sometimes. Even after he died and we moved out of that house, we were still going over there while trying to sell it. I felt his presence so strongly there and his anguish in being "left behind." It got so upsetting my husband didn't want me going back to the house anymore! I know I sound CRAZY, but it was very real, seriously. I've never had another connection like that with any other cat, but I can still figure out what's on their minds more often than not.

You can definitely tell by their body language if a cat is angry or bored, or playful. My grouchy cat Dolores has various moody faces but I can still read her most of the time. I guess when you live with an animal long enough you can pick up on their feelings.
