In the past when my dogs came come smelling like skunk the cure was giving them a bath in tomato juice that sometimes worked to neutralizer the odor.
We sometimes got creative and added garlic powder to the bath, as we preferred the smell of garlic, over the mild lingering smell of skunk.
Another homemade recipe is to mix one quart of 3% hydrogen peroxide (from the drugstore), with 1/4 cup baking soda and 1 teaspoon liquid soap.
Wash the dog or cat, or whatever got sprayed, with this, but be careful to keep it out of the animals eyes and nose and mouth. Follow with a good rinse with water. it is suppose to neutralize the skunk odor.
