Actually that picture is similar to how one of our cats sleeps. I never understood how he could sleep upside down or hanging off the sofa. It's quite sweet how he sleeps. Meanwhile, our other cat doesn't like to sleep that way. He sleeps either in a fetal position or he sleeps with his head against the war. Quite darling.
Sometimes it makes you wonder if cats invented yoga. Some of the funniest pictures that I've seen have been cats sleeping in strange positions or objects. I think only a ferret is more bendable.
We took in two cats over the past couple years, and they both sleep in odd contorted positions. Our white cat practically twists her head around like her neck is broken, then wraps her arms around it all. Our black cat (who is currently quite overweight, but always hungry nonetheless) sleeps somewhat similar to the cat in the photo - belly up. It's freaked me out on numerous occasions to the point where I had to walk up and poke her a few times to make sure she is still alive. When she sleeps it looks like she croaked or something. If I so much as fall asleep on the couch with my head tipped to the side, I will have a nech ache all day - I don't know how they do it.
I love that photo of the cat sleeping like a person. It's true that cats can be a little weird and awkward at times. I used to have two cats that slept curled together like a yin yang symbol.
That's too funny. My cats sleeps in very boring position most of the time sometimes they sleep with their tummy up like that but it's rare.
Actually Miss Kitten has one funny position. She goes on the radiator but she has some puppy fat () so she is jut out from it everywhere. It must not be comfortable but she stays there, I suppose she likes it
