Dog lovers don't really mind what kind of dog is on the receiving end of an affectionate pat. But surely there is a special soft spot for a certain kind in our hearts. It may be the nostalgic love for a childhood pet breed or may be the awe and gratitude for the kind that perhaps once saved your life.
I love Alsatians. No need to extol their virtues, but I can never help it. Incredibly intelligent, loyal to a fault and a never-say-no attitude to fun times, their human companions can count on a lifetime of loving memories.
Hello. I really like every breed, but of-course and as you said and very well, there's a special one that I have a preference to. I love the yorkshire terriers because of their capacity to be rough and a good alarm to your house, having that protection thing in their blood while they're very receptive to affection/caress. Whenever somebody opens the apartment complex door and it isn't any of us he barks, though he recognizes us even before we enter the door, and instead of barking, he stands next to the door, waiting for us to enter the door. Of-course there are other dog breeds like that, but that's one that I love personally. They're also very beautiful and the way they're not too big and not too small is also amazing for me.
My favorite breed of dog is the Poodle. They are the second most intelligent breed of dog, only surpassed by the Border Collie. Poodles are also a very affectionate dog, and totally devoted to their owners.
They come in a complete variety of both sizes and colors, so you can have a beautiful pet in whatever size and color that you prefer, and they are also available in parti-colors, adding even more variety.
They can be clipped into a variety of designs, and poodles just seem to enjoy showing off their new looks when you have them clipped.
My Chipper is a Yorkie-Poo, so he is a Yorkie-Poodle hybrid, and looks more like a golden Yorkie than he does a Poodle.
I've really started to like Labradoodles lately - our neighbors have one and he's so lovely - nice curly hair. It seems like most people in the US at least like bigger dogs these days: http://www.statista.com/topics/1258/pets...og-breeds/
I was wondering about this because I'm seeing small dogs like pugs and chihuahuas everywhere. I prefer a bigger dog though, even though they usually live shorter lives and are more expensive to feed.
I think I like every breed of dog. I can't think of one I absolutely hate and can't stand to be honest. I feel like all dogs have different personalities and even a breed of dog who you stereotype as being aggressive can be the most loving and playful dog. However, I do have a favourite which I am absolutely in love with and that is the daschund. I just love this breed of dog so much. I love silly dogs and I love how these dogs already look a bit silly, with the long sausage shaped bodies. I love both the short-haired and long-haired varieties and I'm not bothered if it's a miniature or normal size, I think they are all gorgeous. Dachshunds tend to be entertainers and the showmen and they love to be the centre of attention. They like to make you happy and love snuggling up next to you on the couch. They also love roaming around outside which is great for me I love taking long walks and my little dachshund can be digging up the ground alongside me. I use to always think I would want a big dog but now I have fallen in love with this little breed and I can't wait to finally get one.
The only dog I have ever had has been a Shitzu but the first time I was too young to choose and of course no one told me we were even getting a dog back then and this time it was the same situation except for the age thing. But shitzu's are a good breed: they do not shed (hair), they are friendly with small children (and there is a baby in the house), and the are just really calm and manageable (although our puppy is crazy hyper, so I do not know about her).
