When we first got Roman, he was able to sit, stay, shake and grab his leash when we asked him if he wanted to go for a walk. Throughout the 7 years that we owned and took care of him, we taught him to roll over, to play dead and to 'focus' (which was putting a treat on his nose and he has to flip it up in the air and catch it in his mouth). These newer tricks probably took us about a couple years to really adapt. People were telling us that we couldn't teach old dogs new tricks. We surely proved them wrong!
What fun and exciting tricks have you taught your dog? What tricks did he already know when you got him or her? How long did it take your dog to learn the trick(s)?
